Practiced with my colour ability the past two three days..
I have been coloring with my com. mouse.. My Otter girl and A friend's Jackle.. mated characters too.
They are a lovely pair don't you agree ne? Tried several new techniques in here.. please enjoy.
Hope this can appeal to many. spent exceptionally lots of time on the background.

The shading for the background is quite nice, although I have to say that the lines you did for your otter's dress's shading is definitely the style I like the most. Both light-and-shadow based and line based shading have their places though, and neither is inherently better than the other.
