Medic! (by Jailbird)
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Good evening, my faithful subjects!
I am really excited for the release of a certain game. This game... was not a game I was particularly interested-in. (Usually I tend to go for deep single-player stories and strategy-type games (or both!)). Despite it being quite pretty, innovative, and filled with sci-fi Cthulu-busting action, I was going to write it off as yet-another pretty multiplayer bro-fest with about as much depth as a can of tuna.
But I somehow got into the alpha (despite never having signed-up for anything. I assume that it was because I had patronized this company extensively by pre-purchasing Civilization: Beyond Earth, X-Com (and its expansions), Borderlands, Borderlands2, Borderlands: Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, Bioshock, Bioshock2, Bioshock: Infinite (etc etc) XP). Despite admittance into the alpha, I wasn't even going to play this game, but some of my friends who were looking forward to this particular game threw tantrums and complained because I got the invite and they didn't and that I should at least TRY it. And so I did, with some reluctance.
You could say that my opinion on the game EVOLVED after playing it. Its extremely fun, and addictive (despite still being only about as deep as a can of tuna). I played the heck out of that alpha. It made me really sad when the alpha ended, but then I got invited into the closed beta! (probably because I pre-purchased the game as soon as the alpha closed.)
Anyway - I thoroughly recommend this game (on PC, of course. None of those silly "console" pieces of junk), and I hope you'll join me on Steam for a safari hunt. Or... be hunted. Mwahaha!
I will give a more in-depth review later tonight, describing exactly what I love about the game and why I find it so addictive... with some more fanart (of course). ^.^
