Rocky's new stairs
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
While we can't trust Rocky to use these stairs just yet, in another 2 weeks, he should be cleared to sleep in his favorite spot while he does the rest of his recovery. It's going to be so weird for him to go for 3 10 minute walks a day rather than one long run, but I think he'll just be happy to be getting out of the house. Thankfully, the anti-anxiety meds are doing their job and keeping him out cold most of the day or at least so doped up he doesn't care about things too much.
Because he required extra supervision due to his licking habit, I haven't been able to work at ALL for the past few days. I've gotta get at least all my commissions done before the end of the month or we are gonna be in TROUBLE. I've GOT to launch Wild Coast next month!
So yeah, I'm just a -little- anxious right now, but so far, Rocky's been pretty good. When he gets his stitches and staples out (hopefully Friday) we won't have to worry about him ripping his skin open and he can rest as normal until the 11th, when he gets his 3-week checkup. MSU will take X-rays to check on how his bone is healing up, and if they like what they see, Rocky can, instead of the crate, spend more time in his bed instead during the day so he can watch the world go by, and with those stairs, he won't have to jump up. He can go up into his bed whenever he likes on his own.
Another check at 6 weeks will determine if Rocky can go up to even more vigorous activity, but given how strong Rocky is? We may have the John Cena of dogs on our hands and I'll have my running partner back before the snow hits.
Another HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. I'll try and get that proper thank you picture done this week.
I pulled a bonehead move though and utterly forgot that the 6th falls on bloody Canadian thanksgiving weekend, so I definitely won't be able to start it THEN. GOOD GOING, BRAIN.
So, Sketch Club will instead run from October 13th to December 13th.
I'll probably make updates a little less frequently about Rocky now, like one when he gets his stitches out and another after his 3 week exam to let you all know how he's going.
