Hmm. I have to agree with ziusuadra here on at least one front: that explanation seems far too simple. After all, that would be trivial to demonstrate in a double blind test. Also, if such things were the case, why is there not a larger fan following for one of millons of other small artifacts of our internet culture?

As much as I like Dolan, I feel like this is one of those times where it would be prudent to agressivly fact-check. There are so many moralist groups that would benefit from manipulating this sort of public opinion, so I think I will go to peer reviewed journals for my info on this.
