The Big Bad Wolf?
This picture is dedicated to a number of things. Truly. It's the beginning of an exciting project for me.
Since I joined SoFurry no more than five months ago, not even half a year ago yet, I find that I have gained a "life" here where I have had fun, met good people, sharpened my writing skills. All of that might be very well due to Out of Water, Nyrina having helped me get along in the ways of Furrydom. Nevertheless, that is not the case at all. I mean, the lovable otter is definitely a reason for why I somewhat became known in this community and she is working on bringing people to me on FurAffinity elsewhere. Her adorable, charming, child like nature has been doing wonders in inviting people to my little corner of the vast realm that is the internet. That and she's, ahem... constantly mistaken for "another" certain otter. Heh.
But no, where Nyrina might actually get people to look in my direction for a moment, not everyone actually lingers as well as lets me bond with them. What I mean is that watchers are cool, to have that number of people actually say they're with you is a supportive deal. However, I wouldn't be the social guy I am today - I wouldn't be able to come here in the furrydom and talk - without several key people; friends in my book who have actually talked to me on the regular, who have shared their experiences with me, who have included me in on projects of theirs.
For that I am... thankful. And I feel I should begin to show my gratitude rather than just focus on myself all of the time.
I'm beginning this project of "Thank You" to everyone by bringing up a certain user, Flashbackwolf, who has proven to be a very supportive, awesome, grand friend to me in the rp forums. Ha ha, I have honestly never seen so much come out of a player during our adventures and he actually has imagination. It's not like playing with a drone, he actually comes up with more than witty if not entertaining solution to some problems that I throw his way in my worlds. The latest world we have taken part in - a realm of Tethys where dragons rule, humans are forced into obedience, wolves have been wronged and sharks look to invade the lands from their seas - has left him thoroughly creative. He has started his own forums, looking to flesh out his character, Remnant, who is the white wolf shown above.
Well, actually, Remnant's past is a bit of smoky haze to me still. The wolf isn't all wolf. He's a hybrid of a mouse, rabbit, canine. His ears are clear sings of his rabbit blood, his tail is long with a tuft like a Kangaroo Mouse, the rest of him is wolf. He's a suave, cool headed, patient individual from the western woods of Tethys and he represents his people with excellent form. He is a skilled fighter, an experienced adventurer, a rather impressive lover to the ladies, a grand ally but something of a big bad wolf underneath all of those smiles of his. His past is something I still need to unlock to tell more. Still, he is experienced with the world and stronger than strong. His character is one of great creativity and perhaps Tethys is bringing the best out of him - out of Flashbackwolf - during the adventure. I hope so.
In more than way, despite the wolf being the focus, this piece of art is dedicated to everyone who has effected me for the better as friends. In the future, I intend to bring up more of these commissions - Nyrina getting along friends - with more iconic persons. Then, after I have had these pictures done with my friends, I might have Nyrina pose with whoever for SFW works. For now, I hope you enjoy this picture as much as I do. I VERY much like it. And guess what? This was done by the same brilliant girl who did "Just Smile". How very gifted she, Nemali, is. No?
