Kaiser Redflame- Punishment Pending
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Finally: After thirteen attempts to upload, Twelve deletes, and a half hour of bitching about how this site doesn't seem to know how to use an edit function to save it's life...
It's finally up.
This was done by the Artist Rollwulf on FA. Originally I joined in one of their raffles as a result of thinking "Oh! Free raffle art, this'll be worth it!" Only to find out that they were raffling off the art slots for commissions. This wasn't such a big deal as I was last in line, and likely wouldn't of made much of an impact if I had disappeared at the end of the day.
...However, the second person on the commission slot list had left, and the slot was left vacant. Considering I still thought this was free art, and the artist was going to raffle off the second slot, I told my friend to hop in on the raffle. He won the second slot, and was then asked what he wanted to buy. (Headshot, bust, or fullbody). It was then he and I both learned that it wasn't free art at all; And as such, I had to stifle a panic as I felt like I just threw one of my best friends into a position where he was forced to pay money for a situation that wasn't his fault!
So, thinking quickly, I checked my paypal. And then paid off the artist for his slot, and mine. This served a twofold nature- One, I'd be able to make up for duping my friend, in my ignorance, and putting him a situation like this. I told him it would be a future birthday gift, or something of that sort. He happily accepted it, and was happy with the results.
Two, it made it so that regardless of the situation, I made sure I was responsible for it. It was my fault that he was in the situation, and it was my fault for not reading the full details of the raffle. So, in the end not only did the artist get two commissions done, but my friend and I both got something we've been wanting for a while.
Sure, I took a hit to my wallet. But sometimes, those are the best lessons to learn from.

Whether either of these this is worth the effort depends on how annoying the issue is, but it's something to try the next time you're uploading :3
