Good morning, Rage of Lusceonis (a.k.a R105)!
Title can't be empty.

I did a back view of an Evocanis https://www.sofurry.com/view/638321, now I did one of the Retcans. I'm not only doing this because I seriously need more practice on back views, but because it also helps as a guide of how tails should be properly placed and drawn in an anthro creature. Tails are one of the most beautiful parts of an anthromal, and most people seem to take it for granted over here, mostly when I see those refs were the tail is taken apart from the character for some reason I will never understand. Also when I see tails unnaturally placed above their pelvic bone as if they were just hanging from their skin, or just protruding from their kidney area rather than connected to their spine... Yes, many good drawings ruined by this mistake. This, of course, comes up to taste and style, but anatomically speaking, this is the way to go. Used my dog and other pictures as reference for the tail area.
So this is Bo, waking up in the morning and getting ready for his duties as the Captain's assistant. His week is surely busy, but nothing fills him more with joy than to work side by side with his favorite Retcan, Captain Silver. Getting used to sleep in a Retcan Battle Cruiser is tricky. There is no natural light shifting as in Canis Major, so adjusting their bodies for sleep requires a couple of nights of insomnia shortly after boarding the ship. There is no fake window here either. That is space behind Bo.

Done by me in ms paint as always.

This one was very well done considering I haven't viewed your work a lot lately. Mistake on my part. I almost thought this was a little suggestive, but I then remembered that you'd never do something like that. I'm glad that's not the case with this one. A gorgeous creature you have here, and that face made me giggle a little. Very nicely executed.
To be honest, I've never thought about the tail position that much. It makes sense though, that it must start where the spine would end.
And thank you! those paws were very hard to draw :D I'm glad they came out fine.
It's always nice to see more artwork of tails placed correctly, that don't look like they'd have their spine broken, or as if the tail is sprouting out halfway up their back. And this must have been a difficult pose to draw this reference in! You managed to succeed with another great drawing, and you made Bo look so adorable, as always :) His paw pads are really unique and they look great :)
