He gazed upon the past with a sense of longing. He longed for the heart he thought could not be his. He loved with all his heart, he only wished he could express how much Max meant to him, how much it haunted his every waking moment to lose him. It then dawned upon him as he lay awake on the hospital bed, he had lived for a purpose. The bullet had not ended his life so that he could write his story, so that maybe one day Max would see all that he had gone through and how much he truly loved Max. Shane sat up and grabbed the empty book and a pen that conveniently sat on the nightstand next to his hospital bed. He would write his story, for Max, and then.. maybe one day the two could be together. Oh how much he wished it could be, how much he wanted to be next to the fox of his dreams once more. Maybe he would come tomorrow to visit and check on him. Or did Max think that he was dead? Had the doctors even told Max of Shane's fate? He wished, he prayed that Max knew he was still alive. He had to share his Memoirs.

Hey everyone! Here's a song that I put together, it's a song I decided to use for my story the Pathways of Life and the short paragraph above is a little preview of what is to come in chapter 1! I composed this piece on an actual piano and then used Music Creator 5 to put it together on the computer for all of you to hear.
