Sekhmet - Twilight of the Gods
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
My fiancée and future editor (We plan on working together on the book series revisions in the near future, when I finish all the drafts) sketched Sekhmet from my 7th, 8th and 9th novel.
For Christmas, I bought her a large art set, with acrylic paint, water color paint, oils, color pencils, charcoal - you name it!
So! She painted her sketch! First, she used the water colors, then she let them dry and went back over it with charcoal to do the shading.
In her hand, Sekhmet holds a masquerade mask with the human face of Hathor, complete with small horns on the top, as Sakhmet's alter-ego is Hathor.
Khestra had taken a long hiatus from art, especially anthro art, for the last few years. And then we started talking. I encouraged her to finish her charcoal work of Anubis a few months ago and I told her how proud I was that she got back into art. She felt good for completing it after abandoning it for several years.
Then, a few weeks later, when I asked her what deity I should include in my 7th novel, she exuberantly exclaimed, "Sekhmet!!"
Shortly after that, she did a light pencil sketch.
In December, I moved to Florida and we got a place together. Then I encouraged her to finish Sekhmet.
So, this weekend, she finished sketching on Saturday. Sunday, she decided to paint it.
She was very happy to finish it, and said she would like to do my werewolf characters Peri or Rufus next.
I'm very proud of Khestra for getting back into art. I know much she loved it, and I see how happy it makes her. I hope you like her return to Anthro Art. It took a long time to convince her that she was happy doing it. And now ... she's back! :D
So I present to you: SEKHMET!
Goddess
Drunk
lioness
creator of the desert
ruler of the menstrual cycle
huntress
badass
healer
surgeon
warrior
