The original books was entitled, "The Rats of NIMH" ... I remember back in grade school when our teacher would read us a chapter each day! :) Wow, talking a loooong time ago!

I hate those assholes who hate the movie simply because the book was more detailed.

Hope that wasn't directed towards me. I was simply mentioning my love for the movie as well as how I was introduced to the original story back in grade school.

Both have their place ... Though I'm more of an animation fan! :)

wasn't directed at you. but it reminded me of some people who absolutely hate the movie simply because they think the book was better. In my opinion The animation was better. The book was just more detailed, but it left a question unanswered. what happened to the defector rats led by Jenner? it only hits to the fact that the rats fried by the car battery may have been them, but it never actually comes out and say it.
