Don't you just want to pluck these little beauties up and dance to a samba or Spanish jig with them? Might I advise actually determining if they are poisonous or not first! These fungi were encountered out at the large research forest located not too terribly far in distance from the forestry school I attend. The property spans many, may acres and is a closed habitat that poses a variety of research opportunities for managed forest growth and wildlife habitat studies or the school itself. However, throughout my many excursions out to the forest itself, it is not just the fluff-tailed southern fox squirrel or the abundance of white-tailed deer that make me turn my eye. Why, it is the abundance and variety of the species of fungus that sprout throughout the forest itself.
