Apparently, "Get what's coming to him" in this case means being stuffed into the gullet of a seal pup. All sorts of weird alliances formed during the attack on that seal hunting expedition, most of which ended very badly for the seal hunters involved. Shortly after this scene, the seal in turn helped the little bear catch its own meal.
