Tiger Training - Jacksonville Zoo 10-29-2014
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
The Jacksonville Zoo holds tiger training sessions with one of the tigers. This was one of the two Malayan tiger brothers. The brothers were having some spats, so they wanted to separate them. (They were about one-year-old and ready to be separated permanently.)
You go all the way to the end of the trail and into a building. There is no tiger there. They rope off a section, open what appears to be a memento board (see right side of picture), and you have a tiger laying there waiting for some fun.
The session is about 10 minutes, and I recommend it highly. Other zoos have similar events to enrich and train their animals.
