I moved to Winnipeg and met some AWESOME furs here, But they all seem to go * POOF* when we're not hanging out at out local meet-ups...
So was wondering if there are any furs out there in Winnipeg who'd like to hang around with a fun-loving Lil weasel.

It's the binturong. I'm at Winnipeg Regional currently on my 6th day of chemo of myleoid leukamia. (I should be fine though.) Guess I'm still confused and bitter and all but at least I made a contribution to the YiffyFurs folding@home team (folding protiens makes idle computers very useful!) Maybe I should have picked another team? Hahaha.

Greetings, fellow Manitoban furs!
I'm Silvershade, or Miranda, and I'm a sixteen year old furry residing in Brandon, Manitoba. I became a furry when I was fourteen, in March 2007.
I only know one other member of the fandom, and he also lives here in Brandon.
As far as being involved in furry culture, I draw a bit. I'm not too horrible at it, but I could be a lot better. I'd like to go to a convention someday and fursuit, buuut, I have no job, and therefore no funds to do so. D:
Oh, and my fursona! I almost forgot. She is (bare with me here) an anthropomorphic Maltese Sumatran tiger-cheetah hybrid, pictured in my icon.
But yeah, that's a bit about me. I look forward to chatting with other furs in my area. :3

Hi, y'all! I'm a 37-year-old fur who's having a mid-life crisis... I've sold my house, quit my job, bought a small RV trailer, and I'm traveling Canada from coast to coast. Last year, I drove around Gaspe (Quebec) and Cape Breton Island (Nova Scotia). This year, I left the Toronto area a month ago, and slowly worked my way across northern Ontario, heading out to the FurBQ in B.C. at the end of August.
Right now, I'm in Whiteshell Prov. Park, enjoying your province's fine parks, friendly staff, lower camping fees (Algonquin in Ontario is $35 a night... this place is $15.75!) and slightly lower gas prices. Although I rarely plan for more than a day or two in advance, I thought maybe I'd drive up highway 6 to highway 39 (Grass River Prov. Park), then head back down to see Duck Mountain and Riding Mountain, before entering Saskatchewan, 3-4 weeks from now. If you've got suggestions of what to see or do, I'd love them!
Anyone want to get together to chat at a Tim Horton's or something? I might be in the Winnipeg area towards the end of this week.

This is a really lively community :P
Anyhow, right now I'm in Alberta... decided to join in all randomness - but this community needs more posts; I guess I'm a contributor ^^
Used to live in Dauphin, wonder how many furs are in Manitoba anyway? (appears as though most of them are south... mostly in Winterpeg and for sure at*least* one in Brandon)

Awright! While browsing around last night I find this group! Whoopeee! It'd be great to find some locals. Manitoba be a small place for population. Anyways, I'm moved out of the 'peg now and living in the Interlake area north of Ashern on #6. There's still snow on the ground of course but I'm hoping this can be a destination for anyone wanting to get away from it for awhile. Mondo digs mon... check out the pics --->

This place exists..I exist..o.o How convenient I found it. I may make an icon but I'm very lazy, especially with LJ, seeing how I don't fit in and never get any attention or interest.
I won't make my usual 120-line description of my whole personality, except that I am a musician, artist, and coder (so I could make some kind of video game from scratch, with numerical linear algebra thrown in somehow). Yeah yeah I know-even if I quit school right now I already am set with an education, but over the past (really boring) summer of 2004 I've learned what's really important.
(hint: stalking me = very welcome) Ask me more schnit, if you want, "gods of their own basement" like myself just aren't ineteresting. :P
