A quick public entry to share pictures! I know I haven't been using my journal much, guys, as I've pretty much moved on over to plurk-- if you have one, please do add me and let me know who you are! I don't do anything interesting enough to warrant a post here that I can't fit into 140 characters, HAHA.
Anyway! So my aunt moved out of the house we lived in with my grandmother, and so I have her two rooms now. We had the carpets professionally cleaned and everything, and I painted an accent wall and my birthday present was redecorating everything. Papasan chair aside, a gift from my mom, we remodeled the rooms for well under $150 and had a lot of fun doing it! My nephew managed to get me sick so I was pretty sluggish, but I finally got everything settled and in a new home here and got some pictures last night.

The cubby between the rooms! Don't look too closely or you'll see the rock hard my aunt slathered everywhere sob. This just holds my electronics odds-and-ends, stationary stuff, my few cleaning goods, and some extra candles.

The dresser just inside the door to the first room! I divided the space into a sitting room and a bedroom, so there's only the closet, dresser, and bed in this room. We'll go clockwise from the cubby divider. Say hello to my little friend, Genji.

Ja-jyaaaan the bed~

More bed and curtainsss.

Look at that cramped closet. :( Although I did find a pretty cool shoe hanger.
Time to turn this ship around, here's the beginning of the other room going counter-clockwise from the cubby! I lovelovelove the papasan chair that mom got me for my birthday-- it's so plush and comfortable, and the colors are gorgeous. The pillow doesn't match, I know, but it's just to sit against anyway shush.

Sliding glass door leading to the patio! You can't really see the detail in the sheers, but they have a really cool crinkle texture. Shall we?

There's a wild gorilla on the prowl!

There'll soon be at least a little table there, but mom and I wanted to nab up a cheap bistro set to put here for chillaxing.

Okay the patio's boring, back inside.

A computer corner!

And finally, the TV/PS2/games/DVDs/books! Thank you for joining Jamie Theatres and Tour Guides, please don't forget to stop by the souvenir station on the way out etc etc.
In the pictures the walls look pretty bare, but they're painted khaki and have texture of their own, so it's not quite as blank as it seems in the pictures. Anyway, for under $150, I think we did pretty well. New curtains/bedding/sheers/paint/new coverplates for all the outlets and light switches/a bit of hardware to hang stuff/some storage stuff and so on. We still have a little list of stuff to get as well, but it's more overall house stuff than for my room-- pretty much just new light fixtures, a set of two for $20. Things like that. It's been a lot of fun, though!
