Supported Independent Living Program (SILP)

Our Supported Independent Living Program provides housing and support for youth (16-21) who are referred by the Ministry of Social Services. Youth in the program commit to case planning, goal-setting, and life skills development as they transition to independent living. Participants receive daily guidance in the areas of maintaining independent housing, education, employment and personal growth.

In Saskatoon, JHSS operates Sage Suites, which serves as a transitional apartment complex designed to support youth who have aged out of MSS care and who require continued support along with affordable housing. Sage Suites offers youth a stable and nurturing environment where they can continue to develop their life skills while preparing for independent living.
