Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using siteorigin.com and our products (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

"We," "us," and "our" refer to SiteOrigin. "You" and "your" refer to you, the user.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

Products & Services

SiteOrigin offers:

  • Free plugins and themes. Open-source WordPress plugins and themes available through WordPress.org and our website.
  • SiteOrigin Premium. A subscription service providing access to premium addons, email support, and additional features. See our Licensing page for details.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

Payment & Billing

SiteOrigin Premium is a recurring subscription billed annually. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file at the beginning of each billing cycle.

  • All prices are listed in US dollars
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard
  • Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy

Licensing

Our free plugins and themes are released under the GPL (General Public License). Premium addons are licensed under GPL 3.0 with additional terms. For full licensing details, see our Licensing page.

Permitted Use

You may use our products and services to:

  • Build and manage WordPress websites for yourself or your clients
  • Modify and customize our GPL-licensed code for your own use
  • Use Premium addons on the number of sites permitted by your license tier

Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Redistribute or resell Premium addons or license keys
  • Use our services to distribute malware, spam, or illegal content
  • Attempt to circumvent license verification or access controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of our services or servers
  • Impersonate SiteOrigin or misrepresent your affiliation with us
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from our website
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation while using our services

Intellectual Property

The SiteOrigin name, logo, and branding are our trademarks. Our website design, documentation, and non-GPL content are protected by copyright. While our plugin code is GPL-licensed, this does not grant rights to our trademarks or branding.

DMCA & Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on our website infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA notice to [email protected] with:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  2. The URL where the allegedly infringing content is located
  3. Your contact information
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of one
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteOrigin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SiteOrigin, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use Premium addons will end
  • Content you created using our products on your own sites remains yours
  • We may delete your account data after 90 days

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Licensing terms, and Support Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SiteOrigin.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
