Reducing the waste of resources and being more sustainable are objectives incentivized by materials in short supply and customer requirements. Thus, the ability to share resources, innovate and to implement emergent ICT will play a key role for companies' competitiveness and their sustainability. However, sharing resources puts high requirements on trust and gain sharing, amongst others. Although well known in supply chain management, the logistics sector is struggling to increase their shared resources. The authors found serious games (SG) to be a promising tool for awareness rising on shared resource. Existing supply chain games are analysed and their potential and weaknesses for the topic are examined, resulting in an outlook on the research needs in SGs for awareness on shared resources.

The rapid technology development is supporting more reliable and efficient ICT based cooperation among stakeholders in the supply chain. The technology itself, serving as infrastructure for cooperation has evolved and also tools and frameworks assisting the development and deployment of these technologies have been developed. During this evolvement there have been several attempts to organize different artefacts into frameworks for interoperability. The motivation for this paper is to evaluate qualities held by the Common Framework in relation to new business models, interoperability and other frameworks for interoperability. Consequently our main research question is: Does the Common Framework offer any new qualities serving interoperability in the supply chain management sector compared to established frameworks? The idea behind this evaluation is that the Common Framework from the beginning was focusing on the needed interfaces, based on business requirements, in opposite to some of the technical based frameworks. The development of the Common Framework was taking into account the new possibilities given by ICT, applied for transport logistics. This has not been the case for some of the other frameworks. The study was based on a combination of literature review and design science. The main contribution from this paper is to put Common Framework in a context with other interoperability frameworks suitable for supply chain management.

However, the level of adoption in the transport industry has been low, in particular in comparison with other industry sectors. This is on one side related to the transport industry itself, facing issues like market fragmentation, price pressure and a high degree of outsourcing. The other reason for this is a lack in dissemination strategies towards relevant stakeholders being indentified in several logistics innovation projects. The EU-funded project LOGINN - Logistic Innovation Uptake - aims at coordinating and supporting RTD projects in the logistics area to improve their capabilities to bridge the gap between pilot implementation and marketable solutions. In addition, the project aims at disseminating innovative logistics practices, technologies and business models to the logistics community, thus establishing an information hub for logistics innovation and contributing to education and training of logistics enterprises’ employees. Here we present the first findings.

The paper show, using the case study of the Freightwise project, a viable solution for multi modal ICT based communication between all actors that is modally and systematically agnostic, allowing integration between different transport operators and different ICT implementations. Built on the ARKTRANS (Marit, 2004) initiative, the project established a Freightwise Framework (FWF) for efficient co-modal freight transport. The aim is to optimise the activities' efficiency,
