Simply Track is a powerful application for portfolio tracking and generation of IRS Schedule D. The program features a nice and intuitive user interface that allows you to create portfolios in a snap, as well as track them and generate interesting reports. The program allows you to generate different reports including those showing gains and losses realized, tax reports, export to tax products, mark to market reporting, and unrealized gains and losses. Creating a portfolio is really simple, and once it is created you can import trades (excel, CSV, txt, OFX, QFX, QIF, TXF file) and enter transactions. You can also convert files created with older version of the program to the current one. You will also find a sample portfolio to guide you in the creation of yours. What is more, it includes a feature called market to market accounting which adjusts all year open trades with market price, and it is very easy to use. The program is very customizable and includes a comprehensive help file describing all the available options.
