The process was mediated by participants’ general perspective-taking and sympathy abilities, which relate to the cognitive and affective routes to learning. Structural equation modeling was used to examine the process. One-hundred and forty-five girls ages 7-15 completed the self-report online survey. Findings suggest that prosocial gaming is associated with greater perspective-taking and sympathizing abilities. These abilities positively correlated with thoughts about all types of violence as wrong whether or not “justified” and independent of severity. 4 views

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) partnered with the researchers by inviting PRSA members to complete a survey in which 256 members participated. Although different items were used, the results of this study were similar to the findings of a study conducted on European PR practitioners by Beurer-Zullig, Fieseler, and Meckel (2009) thus suggesting concurrent validity. Five PR roles were found incorporating personal characteristics, modes of communication, management and technical functions, perceived level of respondent strategic planning process involvement, and attitudes about communication goals and PR measurement (including perceived competency). The roles were labeled negotiator, policy advisor, brand officer, internal communicator, and press agent. 6 views

Taking a strategic approach to the subject, the authors bring years of practical experience to the project, helping students see how theoretical elements fit together in reality and preparing them for the workplace. At the same time, the book goes beyond an introductory discussion of the theory of PR planning, incorporating material from cutting-edge research in the field.
This fully updated second edition explores current trends and consequences surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic; covers the latest technological tools and techniques, as well as the ever-changing landscape of social media; and examines the role of data analytics in the PR decision-making process. Examples and vignettes have been updated so that they reflect the current state of the global PR environment, whilst learning objectives, key term definitions and chapter exercises facilitate comprehension.

This can eventually lead to debilitating effects of unmanaged chronic illness (Briesacher, Limcangco, & Gaskin, 2003). Ironically, a potential unintended benefit of the Covid-19 crisis may be our increased awareness and understanding that minority populations are consistently and disproportionately disadvantaged in terms of healthcare access. Addressing these issues requires that we develop and effectively implement purposeful diversity and inclusion practices in the healthcare industry. Without this equity cannot be achieved. In other words, systems need to exist to be able to support individuals based on their specific needs.

Text network analysis (TNA) approach is proposed as a complement to traditional content analysis ... more Text network analysis (TNA) approach is proposed as a complement to traditional content analysis methods because it distills content to a more manageable amount of text for analysis and provides text structure. TNA offers a number of benefits. First, it is unsupervised and employs network analysis betweenness centrality and degree principles designed to identify influential words and word clusters for subsequent analysis and interpretation. From that point, any number of content analysis strategies can be applied to the content, including analyses that incorporate individual and contextual-related nontextual factors. Second, TNA is informed by the Landscape Model of Reading Comprehension, which is a reader-focused framework. Third, since TNA is unsupervised, it is not labor intensive and time consuming. Finally, TNA provides a graphical visualization of the analysis that offers an overview of the entire text, indicating key words and word themes. We illustrate this approach by analyzing the 2002 and 2012 ExxonMobil CEO CSR introductory letters.
