I finally got around to getting a new LJ layout. I'm not entirely happy with the header, I went with a Star Trek theme but it ended up being very very pink (again). I'm am fond of many other colours but dark pink is always the first thing to catch my eye, whether in layouts or clothes.

I'm loving Glee at the moment. It is a weird mixture of hilarity, satire, sweetness, musical numbers, and extremely irritating plot lines but I look forward to it so much. My favourite character changes every episode, although Sue is always entertaining.

I came across some Glee fic recs yesterday and for once the idea of Glee fic appealed. This is what I have read so far all based on recs from people. I'm not quite ready to jump into the archives.

Reccing and delicious
I'm in the process of updating my delicious. It is mostly fanfic recs and contains everything that I have recced in this journal and a few other things. I've been organising the tags and I have included the tags that I look for when searching for stories i.e. fandom, character/pairing and rating. I've been debating adding other things like wordcount, but I don't use that myself when picking something to read, so I am going to leave it. I'll be sharing more links over the next few days, mostly Supernatural and Star Trek because that is what I've been reading since getting the account.
My criteria for a recommendation are that I enjoyed it, I remembered it when it came to compiling a list of recs, I liked it enough to comment (if it is based on lj or dw I will always comment before reccing), or something about it grabbed me. I may recommend things that aren't amazingly written because I like the idea, or the ship (but any reservations will be indicated in the rec. There are many things that I thought were amazing but haven't got around to reccing. I rec old things and new things, popular things and unknown things. And I always describe why I chose the story in the rec. I try my best to include warnings although I don't always remember/realise that they are necessary. I frequently rec things created by my friendslist because I probably friended them because I like the way they write/vid/icon.
