Someone sent me a link to this list of what was described as Science's greatest ever papers. Funniest titled papers is more like it but it amused me and I really want to read some of them.
The only one I'd seen before was The case of the disappearing teaspoons: longitudinal cohort study of the displacement of teaspoons in an Australian research institute, which is fascinating reading if you have access and frequently comes up in workplace conversations.
My favourite, based on the title alone is The efficacy of stethoscope placement when not in use: traditional versus "cool".
