Human expert handoff adds ~25 seconds. Measured from the moment you ask for help to the moment an expert is on-screen seeing what you see. End-to-end, no hold music..

The founder
Prasanth Sasikumar
Founder, Sidekick  ·  PhD, Empathic Computing

I spent 9+ years researching how humans collaborate remotely using AR and smart glasses under the most cited AR researcher in the world. 40+ peer reviewed papers. 694 citations. Work published at CHI, IEEE VR, ISMAR, and SIGGRAPH Asia.

My early work on remote collaboration prototypes published at CHI 2020 (video) laid the foundation for what Sidekick is today. Since then I have built collaboration systems for nearly every wearable device, including Apple Vision Pro.

My PhD work on volumetric capture for remote presence evolved dramatically over 4 years, from rough point clouds to real-time photorealistic avatars. I built an MR teleconferencing system that Apple validated by acquiring a company doing the exact same thing for $1M.

Currently doing customer discovery across the US, talking to field workers and finding out exactly where the pain is biggest.
