Mom came to visit before Christmas and went home today. And I'm finally getting the pictures up, God. Anyway.
Pictures from the Apollo Beach Power Plant, the Manatee Conservatory. The water coming off the plant is clean and warm, so the manatees flock to that estuary during the colder months. No boats, no big sharks or other predators, so they're fat and happy during the cold season.
The light off the water was horrid and it was an overcastish day, so I didn't get many pictures. But some of the good ones are: ( under the fakey cuttage.Collapse )
The next shots were taken at Coquina Beach on the Gulf, the day before at sunset. They actually turned out pretty well. Not altered or photoshopped, I just downloaded 'em right from the phone.
