Have you ever posted something that you thought was pretty reasoned and reasonable, and then had people miss a good chunk of your point(s)?

I posted a bit of... uh, I wouldn't really call it meta... more like brain spew... in reaction to a storm of JGL discussion on tumblr. The post basically had three points:

1) It doesn't really make sense to draw comparisons between JGL's behaviour and TH's behaviour toward fans because JGL is far more accustomed to being in the media eye (and far more jaded about it), thanks to his being a child star
2) No fan is entitled to an autograph or a photograph, no matter how famous the star, or how much we love them
3) It is totally reasonable to call JGL out on shit like his 'most pretty women aren't funny' comment (among others) and still consider yourself a fan

People paid a lot more attention to #3 than they did #1 and #2. I kind of regret putting #3 last, but it was the last thing I thought of, and it was brain spew, not a work of staggering genius. I can understand some points getting lost in the reading, but ensuing commentary kept circling back around to comparing JGL to Tom Hardy, and... yo. I covered that in points #1 and #2!
