Literacy includes not only the ability to read and write, but also a deep understanding of evolving technology and information. In this context, this study aims to consider strategies and the importance of improving literacy among young people in the digital age. The importance of literacy in the digitalization era cannot be overlooked with the rapid flow of information on various digital platforms. Young people need to develop essential skills that enable them to evaluate, understand and use information effectively. Teaching these skills is also important to protect young people from threats such as misinformation, disinformation and inappropriate content.Effective strategies to promote literacy include strengthening the curriculum to include digital literacy elements, training educators to improve their understanding of technology, and raising public awareness of the importance of literacy in society, including campaigns, among others. Therefore, concerted efforts by educational institutions, the government and society as a whole are needed to ensure that young people acquire adequate literacy skills to face the challenges of the digital age.
