Settings

You will find the Settings on your WordPress admin area navigating to the ShortLinks Pro menu -> Settings.

You will find two tabs: Settings and Click Tracking.

On Settings tab you will find two boxes, the General Settings and Default Link Options.

General Settings

General Settings has the common configuration for plugin management and it has the next settings:

Minimum Access Role: Set the minimum role a user needs to access ShortLinks PRO management areas.

Disable Top Bar: Checking this option will disable the ShortLinks PRO top bar menu.

Default Link Options

Default Link Options defines the default parameters applied during link creation.

Redirect Type: Allows you to define the redirect type for new links.

Link Options: Enables the options for new links.

  • No Follow: This will add the ‘nofollow’ and ‘noindex’ parameters to the HTTP response headers when enabled.
  • Sponsored: Enabling this will add the ‘sponsored’ parameter to the HTTP response headers.
  • Parameter Forwarding: This option will forward the parameters passed to the links.
  • Tracking: Enables click tracking.

Link Prefix: Sets a default prefix to new links. Optional.

On Click Tracking tab you will find two boxes, the Rules and Automatic Clicks Cleanup.

Rules

Allows configuring rules to exclude certain IP addresses and bots from tracking.

Exclude IP Addresses: Enter a comma-separated list of IP addresses or IP ranges you want to exclude from click tracking. Example: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.2.1, 192.168…

Exclude Robots: Allows excluding known bots from click tracking.

Automatic Clicks Cleanup

Allows automatically deleting old clicks.

Clicks Auto-Cleanup: Enables automatic deletion of old clicks.

Days Keeping Clicks: The number of days you want to retain click data. Click hits older than the specified number of days will be automatically removed.
