I woke up this morning to my two dog alarm system. Both dogs were barking their heads off which had the birds in a screaming tizzy and there was just too much noise for me to sleep through at that point. So Growly and awake I shuffled through the house telling all of them to just shut the hell up already. With in, I'd say, 20 minutes, the birds had settled down and I was awake enough to put the dogs out and rustle up something to nibble on, there was a knock on the front door.
Apparently, one of my birds had gotten loose and wandered over to my neighbors house. O.O Holy Crap! My Neighbors, who are really sweet may I add, had seen Echo, my amazon parrot, when they were on their way out to work and picked him up, storing him in their house until they could find me. (This is why the dogs were going ape shit, "People...People at the door....STRANGE PEOPLE MOMMA!" The birds were just, "Barking, we hear BARKING!")
So I scurried and got some clothes on, well, presentable to the public clothes at least, walk next door and there is Echo growling and all "Where the hell am I!" on a bunk bed ladder. He wasn't letting anyone near him. Didn't want me either, difference is, his growly noises don't scare me so he gives it up pretty quickly. (That and though he is acting tuff, he doesn't -really- bite. What I mean by this is that he acts like he is gonna nail you but it is all open beak thrusts. He never actually grabs or bites just a big bluff that is pretty easy to call.)
So, now he is back in his cage and being all pissy that his most awesome adventure was cut short, and I need to figure out how to make it so this does not happen again.
It's been one hell of a morning.
