Established in 1970, Aventa provides gender-responsive and trauma-informed addiction treatment programs designed to meet the unique needs of women. Drawing on the curriculum of Dr. Stephanie Covington, Aventa offers concurrent capable care that integrates support for mental health, substance use, and trauma recovery. Its mission is to improve the lives of women and their families through treatment, advocacy, and education in a safe and supportive environment. Serving women 18 and older, Aventa provides Recovery Alberta–funded and other supported beds at no cost to clients, alongside fee-for-service options for others who qualify.

The Centre for Wholeness & Well Being is an integrative wellness centre based in Calgary, Alberta, offering compassionate, trauma-informed support for women seeking recovery, mental wellness, and personal growth. It brings together counselling, addiction recovery programs, and holistic therapies to support whole-person healing of mind, body, and soul. Its approach is grounded in dignity, connection, and meeting each person where they are, without judgment or one-size-fits-all models. Soberistas is an online recovery community for women who want to explore a new relationship with alcohol in a supportive, judgment-free space. Founded in the UK, and rooted in peer connection, Soberistas provides a place to connect, share experiences, and access blogs, forums, webinars, and personal stories that offer hope and guidance. Members can engage at their own pace while discovering practical tools and compassionate encouragement from people on similar paths. Soberistas offers a 7-day free trial, followed by several paid membership tiers that provide varying levels of access and personalized support.
