ShareX is more than just a screen capturing utility for Windows PCs. Besides helping you take snapshots, this program also gives you access to a multitude of image editing options, provides you with various graphics tools for identifying color codes or measuring screen distances, and so much more.
This type of tools comes in handy to anyone who creates guides for using certain programs, wants to take a snapshot of an area from the screen or simply needs to modify a picture. Every built-in utility comes with easy-to-configure settings, so you don't need much graphics editing experience in order to work with this program.
In addition, you can choose between multiple capturing and sharing modes. It also provides you with high-quality output files in no time.
Two aspects bother me about ShareX: the appearance of its main screen and the fact that its built-in image editor supports a small number of formats. It took me a while to learn where I can find every built-in tool or editing option.
I can't say ShareX is the best there is, but it's feature-rich and without a price tag. I'd say it's worth a try.
