ShareX is by far the best screen capture tool to share files that I have come across. It
is an open source program used to capture or record your screen, edit it and share image, text or other types of files on various platforms, all for free!
What is interesting is that it gives you a number of methods to capture your screen like using the configured hotkeys, double tapping the ShareX icon in the system tray, to name a few. This program is also capable of capturing the content on your screen in different ways, for example, you can capture the full-screen, active windows, active monitor (in case of multiple monitors), window menu, and custom regions. I fell in love with the screen recorder that also lets you make GIFs. The quality of the recording was excellent and there was not a single lag in my test sample.
Once you have taken the shots or recording of your screen, you can perform multiple tasks predefined in the software like editing the image, adding watermark, annotating the image (extremely useful for writers/bloggers!), saving and printing the image, etc.
After editing you can share files. This program offers the entire package when it comes to sharing your images or recordings. ShareX supports 80+ destinations to share your images, text files, etc. You can upload your images on Imgur, ImageShack, Photobucket, Google Photos (Picasa), to name a few. You can also shorten the uploaded images’ URLs with the help of URL shorteners like bit.ly, goo.gl, tinyurl.com and then directly paste the links on social networks. For other kinds of files such as text, this program support services like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, among many others.
To sum up, ShareX is an all-inclusive media capturing and sharing tool for your computer. The only time-consuming part is the configuration but once it is set, sharing is a matter of seconds.
