ShareX, as the name suggests, is a software meant for sharing images and videos between your devices and with other people. This software also doubles as a screenshot taker and a screen capture program. It's a must have in my list of top productivity tools for your computer.
This program has a minimalistic, compact and easy-to-use interface. You can take a screenshot by using the hotkeys, which are customizable. To customize hotkeys or add your own, you can head over to the hotkeys settings. There you can add additional key combinations and functions. ShareX takes precise and accurate screenshots and lets you edit and add effects to your images. You can also use this program to make GIFs and capture screen in a video. You can choose to either record the entire screen or simply mark the area to record.
The area where ShareX shines is its ability to upload and share your images and videos. This program supports all major sharing platforms available such as Amazon S3, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Azure. But that’s not all, ShareX will also shorten your URLs by using services such as Bit.ly, Goo.gl, and TinyURL. Another handy feature is the QR Generator and OCR technology. ShareX uses it to scan regions from your screen and lets you export the content.
