ShareX is a powerful screen capture and on-screen video recording tool that offers you a lot of extra features. It has been designed to let you share your captures with your friends and contacts with a single click, using multiple widely-spread file sharing services such as DropBox. You can not only use ShareX for free, but also download its source code and contribute to its development.
The program automatically creates some workflows which allow you to perform certain capture tasks by simply using key combinations. For example, you can capture the whole screen by pressing the "PrintScreen" key, or start on-screen video recording using the "Shift + PrintScreen" combination. Anyway, you can always create new workflows for additional screen capture, screen record, file upload and tool launch tasks, assigning each one by your custom key combinations.
ShareX is designed to facilitate the tasks of capturing your full screen, a specific window (that you can select among a list of all the active windows), a specific monitor, a region (for example a specific control of an active window), scrolling and webpage windows, and even polygonal and freehand areas of your screen. You can also enable the auto-capture feature which allows you to automatically capture your full screen or a specific region of it every certain number of seconds. On-screen recording, however, requires ffmpeg.exe encoder. The last may require to be downloaded and configured manually first, as it's not done during the program's installation process. more
