It is this writer's opinion that through the study of primary and secondary literature, an awareness of issues related to canonicity and the text of the New Testament, and the employment of certain assumptions and presuppositions, those seeking to interpret the New Testament can be on their way to becoming careful exegetes. While other areas of study are important for becoming a New Testament exegete, this paper will only cover areas directly related to the required reading mentioned above.

If the resurrection never happened, then Christianity is false according to the Apostle Paul (1 Cor. 15:1-19). For this reason, there are many critics of our faith who seek to attack the validity of the resurrection of Jesus. Some attacks come in the form of attempts to explain away the resurrection by offering alternate theories of what happened to Jesus, while other attacks try to show the unreliable nature of the resurrection accounts by showing these accounts are contradictory. The following paper examines the claim that these accounts are contradictory.

In “the Corporeal God of Mormonism” the notion of God having a body of flesh and bones is carefully evaluated in light of the Bible, the Early Church, and Philosophy.

In that message I presented evidence outside of the Gospels that people such as Jesus, Pilate, Annas, Caiaphas, and Herod are all real historical persons, that the majority of places mentioned in the final week can be validated by making a trip to Israel and through archaeology, and that the event of the Crucifixion actually took place under Pontius Pilate.
In part 2 of "Evidence for the Final Week of Jesus" I want to explore evidence for the resurrection of Jesus and give compelling reasons to believe that he is alive. To present the evidence that Jesus is alive I will use the word ALIVE as an acronym in hopes that it might make it easier to remember.
