How is it already Thursday? This is Day 8 of my 10 vacation days and it's literally the first day I have had on my own -- and that was only by cancelling on something the family had planned. I can't believe my time off has gone by so fast. I've had an amazing time on the whole -- you'll see why it hasn't been completely amazing by reading on. ;)

As of 7am this morning, I am officially on holiday for the next 10 days! I only slept for 4 hours today so that I'd be tired tonight, but unfortunately I'm not quite ready to sleep yet. I say unfortunately because I wanted to get a full 8 hours sleep and to do so I would pretty much have to be in bed right now. :/

Spent the day cleaning the apartment and packing and getting ready to head out tomorrow to Toronto Pride! I am looking forward to patios and girly drinks and pretty boys and Casa Loma and shopping. Oh yes, shopping. Krystle is more excited than I am. :)

I'd been watching the news earlier today and they said nothing about Michael Jackson. Then Krystle stopped over and announced that she'd heard he had passed away. My immediate vehement reaction: "Michael Jackson is not dead!" I was just so SURE that he could not be dead. Completely shocking. Whatever you think of him as a person, there is no denying that he was an incredibly talented man. Those songs will live forever. Krystle was supposed to just stop by but we ended up spending two hours drinking daiquiris and watching the coverage on CNN.

Now I've got to get to bed whether I feel like it or not. We are leaving early tomorrow morning for Toronto and won't be back 'til Monday afternoon. See ya then!
