HOW about this... Whoever will keep LJs active, or be kept active by LJ, but will be posting so-called questionable material in other sites that aren't so backwards could simply advise others en-masse that they have updated with just a mention of which fandom it's from?

comeandgoroom could be a bit like walking three times in front of that bare wall, and in it would be announcements for things wot are updated offsite? Like a combination of the enchanted Galleons coupled with being able to get into the Room of Requirements.

Or would that still violate LJ's TOS?

Yes, I have been in the "inner sanctum" of a fandom before. This isn't my first fandom.

I was connected with Peter Katsis, a manager at The Firm, through one of his lady friends.

I've never spoken openly online about this, except for to a few friends who could keep their traps shut, because, honestly, it isn't my business to spread stuff about celebrities online, no matter how cool or idiotic said celebs were at the time. And I will not name names because I'm better than that.

With that said, I have seen both sides of said "inner sanctum". I recognize patterns.

I got the apartment... going to sign the lease and pay for my first month this afternoon, after work! I'm moving in this weekend... ack! I need to email my teachers to tell them I'm not coming to class on Saturday... but... bookbinding can wait, right? Right! *apologizes to Billeh*

So, today we visited three places...

The first one was a fairly large 2 1/2 which included a large room that served as kitchenette/living room/laundry room, a rather small bedroom and the largest kitchen I'd have ever had in an apartment... the clincher was that it would take me 1 hour and thirty minutes, one way, to get to work... Ew... But I could've afforded the place just fine. It was $350/month, heated.

The second place was a tiny 2 1/2, which included a closet-sized bathroom with shower but no bath, an okay-sized kitchen but a TINY bedroom/living room... it was $360/month, heated/hot water/electricity included... It was about 50 minutes away from my work.

The third one was a fairly large 3 1/2, with a nice sized kitchen, nice sized bedroom, nice sized living room, and a teeny tiny kitchen with a bathtub old enough to have yellowed, but it's age, rather than dirt, that's giving it its colour. It was being painted when we visited. It's $375/month, nothing included. We left a deposit (I have a receipt) and my coordinates and we're awaiting a response on my references' status. *taps fingers on desk nervously*crosses said fingers again* I investigated with the electricity company to see how much it would cost me, and it had been averaged at $83/month, but I can handle it.

So, here's the budget I will soon have, given that I get the place:

Rent: $375/month
Hydro: $83/month
Old Hydro debt: $37/month
Phone: $30/month (approximately)
Internet: $23/month (subject to change as I may change providers)
Bus/Subway/Train Pass: $59/month
Food: $200/month (What? better to overestimate than be sorry)
Student Loan payment: $100/month

That's a budget of: $907/month
Total average income: $1040/month

I can make it, right? Right?

I was just away on holidays at my Mum's, for three days, then came back and was off on Saturday and Sunday as well, so I didn't have access to a computer until today. Because Dom still has not uncancelled my internet, but I shall call him tomorrow or the day after to see if he's received my cheques...

Going apartment hunting tomorrow *stuffs a polished and charged piece of carnelian in her pocket for successful hunting*, wish me luck, as I haven't had much luck so far in finding a new place, and I need to be moved out of the place I'm currently still sharing by January 10th... *pouts*

I hate moving, I hate being neck deep in shit because of others' decisions, and I hate having to go through it all within a month's notice even worse.

And I'm hungry... *pouts again*

BTW, I don't feel like making the trip back home... how am I gonna cope if I move even further away from work?
