Ports are crucial site for exploring new political geographies. Since the time immemorial, ports have served as entry point or checkpoint of a region and such nodes are important to explore the ever growing political geography of security zones. This paper made an attempt to explore how new geographies of security are emerged through development of Gwadar port in Pakistan. Paper sheds light on the reconfiguration of power and multiple spatialities in the development of Gwadar port in Pakistan. It also highlights the Pakistan's quest for security in the era of globalization under the communist regime of China. As well as the paper focuses on the reconfiguration of strategies of neighbouring countries to counter the Pakistan.
