HP fic: Five Times Ron and Draco Almost Had Sex (And One Time They Did) by Anonymous (Ron/Draco, NC-17)
This is an eighth year story in which Ron brings Draco back to the Burrow for Christmas. I liked the characterizations in this and the way the author dealt with some of the emotional issues in the aftermath of DH.

In other news, I've been rewatching Queer as Folk (the U.S. version) for the first time in probably seven or eight years. I was so into this fandom for a while; it's kind of interesting to watch it again after being away for so long. I've made it through 204.

Watching the show again makes me want to finish up those QaF character pic spams I did a million years ago. I always regretted that I never had the chance to do one for Emmett, whom I adore. The other two I had planned were Lindsay and Hunter. But I'm not sure I even have any QaF fans still on my flist these days! We'll see. :)

1. What's with this new copyright/republication checkbox thing on LJ? Suddenly I'm copyrighted? :-D

2. Update on Amazon stuff from the other day (here's my original post if you were under a rock or actually out somewhere having, you know, a life): I'm still not sure what to make of the whole situation. This post has a good roundup of the various explanations going around for what happened. A few other links worth reading:

Amazon De-ranks "Adult" Books (see Update 2 for speculation on what happened; I found this one via rickey_a)
Amazon Rep: This was not a "glitch"
Amazonfail: A straight white male publisher on glitches and ham-fisted errors (thoughtful and provocative post about why "the GLBTQ books, the queer books, the non-normative books ... get caught in the glitches, the ham-fisted errors")

I'd still like to know more about exactly what Amazon's adult policy is and what they would like it to be. I'd like to know why books started losing their rankings two months ago. But the good news is that Amazon is in the process of restoring rankings, so at least the books in question are returning to visibility.

3. And now, on to...porn! :-D Remember the Harry Potter Anonymous Kink Meme? The reveals are up; authors have started claiming their fics and prompters have started claiming their prompts. (If you're an author and haven't taken credit for fic you wrote, please go here to do so.)

Thanks so much to those of you who left advice and good luck wishes on my last post (for the record, it's not too late to offer advice if you have it *g*). As it turns out, I actually did pretty well on my work thing today! \o/ I practiced a ton, and I think it paid off. YAY.

In other news, it's Friday, the weather is beyond gorgeous, and I just discovered that the internet works out on my patio -- so life is good. Oh, and I also just read some pretty hot fisting porn over on pornish_pixies. I'm feeling too lazy to write an actual rec, but yowza -- definitely worth the read if you're in the mood for some kink.

After that entirely pointless post, I'm off to find some food. Hope you all have a very happy Friday! ♥

My Comments:
There aren't that many drabbles that I remember for much longer than the time it takes to read them, but this is one of my favorites. It's just a little moment in the aftermath of Ron and Draco's first major fight that captures several of the qualities I love about this ship -- particularly their explosive tempers and, in the end, the soft spot they have for each other.

I remember this one mostly for the tender moment at the end. Makes me melt every time. :-)

Whew, I haven't had time to post because I've been so busy devouring fic from all the holiday fests going on! Good stuff. Many of you have seen these already, I'm sure, but here are my favorites so far from the various fests I'm following:
