Summary

Star Wars Outlaws is a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, but it’s hindered by simple stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch.

Star Wars Outlaws Update Brings Much-Needed Gameplay Improvements - IGN Daily Fix

1 year, 2 months - In today's Daily Fix:Star Wars Outlaws got a huge update that brought some quality-of-life improvements, and even removed an aspect of the gameplay. Many gamers complained about Outlaws' stealth elements, so Ubisoft decided to make it a lot more forgiving. In missions where you previously could not alert the enemy, you can now go guns blazing, and you won't "fail" the mission. There's also some gunplay improvements and other things, so check out IGN.com for the full patch notes. In other news, CD Projekt Red isn't working on a PS5 Pro update for Cyberpunk 2077. In a response to a tweet, CDPR confirmed they aren't currently working on an update (though it doesn't mean one won't come at some point), and it's likely the developer is focusing on new games, like the next Cyberpunk or Witcher titles. And finally, don't expect a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth 'Intergrade' update like FF7 Remake got. The game's director confirmed the company would rather focus on Part 3 rather than DLC for the existing game.

Ubisoft's Founders Reportedly Considering Buyout After Lagging Game Sales - IGN Daily Fix

1 year, 4 months - In today's Daily Fix:Ubisoft has been having a rough go of it as of late. Star Wars Outlaws was not the big sales hit they expected, the next mainline Assassin's Creed game has been delayed to 2025, and their Call of Duty competitor, XDefiant, has failed to catch on. Co-founder Yves Guillemot and Ubisoft's partners at Tencent are reportedly considering taking the company private to help stabilize their financials. In other news, Sony is once again requiring a PSN account for a single-player PC game, this time for the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster. They've also taken the original version off Steam, so if you want to play the first game and you don't already own it on PC, you'll have to get the remastered version and sign up for PSN. And finally, Solid Snake English voice actor David Hayter is teasing another Metal Gear project. Could this be something related to the upcoming MGS Delta? Or possibly something new?
