J.J. Abrams

J.J. Abrams has created some of the most engaging and talked about television shows. He was the mastermind behind Felicity, Alias, and the mysterious Lost.

Before he worked in television, Abrams was a film writer. His first film, Taking Care of Business (1990). He followed with many other films, including the Harrison Ford film Regarding Henry (1991), Forever Young (1992), Gone Fishin' (1997), and the blockbuster Armageddon (1998). He co-wrote and made his directing debut on the Tom Cruise film Mission: Impossible III (2006). Abrams is working on the next Star Trek (2008) film, which is he set to direct.

Beyond filmwork, Abrams has changed the pop culture landscape with his television shows. First there was Felicity, starring Keri Russell. Next up, was the Jennifer Garner spy series, Alias.

Few shows make an impact as great as his next series, Lost. Lost is the story of an airplane that crashes in the mid-Pacific and its survivors are marooned on an unusual island.

Abrams has won a Golden Globe for Alias and Lost, and two Emmy Awards for Lost.

Trivia: J.J. Abrams is the youngest first-time director ever to have his first movie greenlit at an estimated budget of $150 million bucks.
