Awwww, you guys - Eastwick has been cancelled! Booooo! However, ABC is planning to air the 13 episodes they've filmed, so at least there's that. Unlike some networks. *cough*FOX*cough* And it's probably for the best as my viewing plate is really full right now. Currently airing shows we're watching are: Dexter; The Amazing Race (go Globetrotters!); Castle; Lie To Me; Glee; So You Think You Can Dance; South Park; The Office; Supernatural; The Daily Show; and Flash Forward. Then we still have to finish Eureka AND Homicide on DVD.

And yet I've been semi-watching Modern Family via Hulu the last couple of days because all I'd heard about it were raves. I had to start with episode 3, and I didn't really get grabbed until episode 5, which was very funny. Episode 6 was also great, so I think they're hitting their stride. I had to laugh about the gay couple with the new baby and hitting her head. I am SO Mitchell and AHH is totally Cam. Heh. They're actually my favorite part of the show. I love their interaction, and Cam, especially, is hilarious.

festivids sign-ups are supposed to start today! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I am SO EXCITED. I've narrowed my offer list down to 102, and I'm going to go through it one more time to make sure they are all shows/movies I have access to and would actually want to vid. I may try to be a little more ruthless and at least get below 100. Heh.

My request list is currently at 24. It's supposed to be 6-8. *facepalm* The worst part is that I genuinely want a vid from ALL of those 24 sources. This is, as giandujakiss put it, Sophie's choice! Still, it's a choice I am thrilled to even be able to make. Sign-ups end Nov 17 and assignments go out on Nov 20! ALL vidders welcome, so if you want to play, you absolutely should! Yay, festivids!

I finally watched the previous two weeks' Eastwick episodes (still have not seen this week's yet, thanks to Hulu being dickish and removing the show from their site entirely). "Mooning and Crooning" had a much better percentage of Paul Gross being amazing and speaking German. Oh, PAUL. I loved Joan standing up to Darryl about the article.

And then last week's episode was amazing. Like, legitimately good kind of amazing. I would show it to people to try to pimp them into the show kind of amazing. SpoilersCollapse )

Other things I don't have enough hearts for: Castle. Spoilers for this week's episodeCollapse )

ION: Still not watching White Collar! Take THAT, my ENTIRE FRIGGING FRIENDSLIST. Hee. I'm happy to see so much uniting squee, but we just don't have time for another show right now! In a year or two I'll watch it and love it and you guys can all laugh at me for once again being late to a party you know I'd have a good time at. For now: moving on!

Besides, I am now fully immersing myself in David Cook fandom, which is proving to be pretty super awesome. I mean look at himCollapse )

Truly the amount of capslock involved in my emails to Brynn is really kind of ridiculous. But I can't HELP it. And I have listened to "Bar-ba-sol" multiple times a day every day since this whole thing started and it STILL IS AWESOME. So there's that.

There's also the fact that bitchinparty registration is THIS SATURDAY! YAAAAAAY. Here are the details! You should all come to our city and party with us! Hee. We had a great time at the last Bitchin' Party (aka Pacificon) and this time shall be just as fun, I suspect.

I am really enjoying So You Think You Can Dance this season. It's been one of their strongest seasons in awhile, IMO. But I have to roll my eyes at Nigel this week still trying to defend putting Russell in the bottom four last week. Whatever, Nigel. I think he's full of crap. I think he just wanted Russell in the bottom four to manufacture some drama. If Russell gets cut before the Top 10, I will take to the streets. Spoilers for this week's epCollapse )

Now a break to delineate Puplet talk!

**********

Puplet will be ten weeks old tomorrow. More about himCollapse )

Finally I'll end the Longest Post Ever with a couple of Puplet pictures.

Under hereCollapse )

WHEW. Now how the hell do I choose an icon for this post?

Paul Gross, I just. *flaps hands* I can't even. Eastwick: it's ridiculous? But also awesome? IDK. I love it. I also deeply love season 3 of Dante's Cove. (It's legitimately good though! Like, they took all the things that were so amazing about season 1 and owned them! I am looking forward to season 4! WHOOOO AMMM IIIIIII?)

Anyway, moving on to Eureka, which we have thankfully picked up again. Thoughts through end of season 2Collapse )

I returned to work yesterday. I was not looking forward to it, but it actually went really well, and I came away from the day feeling energized. I didn't realize how much time I spend worrying and focusing on Puplet while I am his main caretaker, and so leaving him in the hands of someone I trust (like AHH and, in this case, my mom who is out for the week for purposes of easing the transition back) actually lets me recharge in a bizarre way. It helps that I work from home, too, so I can just go down to see him at lunch. :)

Now that I'm back at work, though, my time is even more severely limited as I have very limited-to-no LJ or email access during the day and evenings are filled with family and chillaxing time, so I apologize in advance for all of the things I am about to miss for the next however many months (I will be trying to keep up with email at the very least, though). This is especially difficult as I spent time with trelkez and pipsqueaky on Sunday (PIPS COME BAAAAAAAACK *makes grabby hands*) talking about vids and now I REALLY REALLY want to be vidding again but man that is a time-intensive hobby. Heh.

Of course now that I've said I won't be around, I'm sure you won't be able to get rid of me. (THAT'S MY SEKRIT PLAN. SHHHHH.)

EASTWICK, BABY.

I'm only 8 minutes in right now and I have never done live-blogging of a show before, but I am going to attempt it here. Come inside for the capslockingCollapse )

Overall thought: ep needed more PG.

ION, Things I love about Puplet #298734: the smell of his milk breath, especially when he's asleep and it's gently puffing against my cheek.

This guy from last week's episode of Eastwick reminds me of SOMEONE but I can't put my finger on who. Help?

Hey it's That Guy!Collapse )

And while I'm here, have a few screencaps of Paul Gross, also from last week's episode.

Do not stand between a man and his giant scissors, is all I'm sayingCollapse )

Yes, I've been very productive this morning, why do you ask?

Okay, I am officially on board the Eastwick train, based ENTIRELY on Paul Gross. Well, Paul and the friendship between Joanna and her BFF. I mean the rest of it is fun, but those two and Paul Gross have worked their magic on me and I am entirely charmed. How can one man be having SO MUCH FUN while playing such a smug, ridiculous character? It seems impossible. And yet! I'm only 18 minutes into last night's episode and I am full of glee.

Um, spoilers?Collapse )

I refuse to get any icons! Unless there's a good one of PG. Hee.

(What? The only other show I'm caught up on is Flash Forward, and I don't have much to say about that yet.)

O.M.G you guys were SO RIGHT about the awesome ridiculousness of Eastwick. (Exhibit A: this guy just referred to himself as a 'sexual Batman.') Paul Gross is clearly having the best time of anyone on television and is happy to be sharing that with us. And I mostly like the three women; I actually like Roxie, Rebecca Romijn's character best, which is atypical for me. I thought I'd like Kat, the doctor, but I haven't really connected to her at all. I like Joanna a bunch but I'm frequently hiding my eyes when I watch her scenes. Heh.

But it's a surprisingly fun show that I'm at least entertained during and don't have to spend a bunch of brainpower on. Also they had Martin Mull as a guest star. And it's available on Hulu, so I'll be watching it during middle-of-the-night feedings and giggling quietly to myself so as not to wake Puplet. Oh, Paul Gross. ILU.

ION: the only shows we're up-to-date on are Supernatural and The Amazing Race. Go team Harlem Globetrotters!

Did you know Alice In Chains released a new album? It's pretty good - sounds just like them. I'm having flashbacks to my teenage years, when "Would?" was my favorite song of all time ever.

Okay, for my Prison Break friends, here's the first part of the untitled Apocafic AU. I am still thinking about it, which means it's likely I'll try to keep working on it, so I'm going to try this posting snippets thing to encourage myself to actually put fingers to keyboard on its behalf. Here's the first 1000 words. I feel confident these bits won't change; I need to go over the next parts as well before I share them.

Apocafic part 1Collapse )
