Dear GOD I have been busy lately. I'm doing almost all of my fannish interaction via my phone these days, which means I read LJ but almost never comment, skim Tumblr (though I've been kind of crap about even that in the last two weeks), and mostly keep up with Twitter. Twitter is easiest on my phone and in bite-sized enough bites that I can do it in 5 minute chunks when I'm taking a minute to breathe.
The reasons for my busy-ness are good but your standard real-life stuff: children, work, trying to keep the house running, etc. Work is especially tough on my schedule right now because I'm starting a new job next week so I've spent the last month or so trying to get all my crap finished at my old job. The finish line is near! I can do it! If I can just keep myself on track, but my willpower is draining away very fast the closer I get to my last day.
I did find time to write 7000+ words of a punk rock AU for Seth/Amy fandom in the last week, though. As you do.
I've been trying to do that movie meme all morning, but I am stumped. I don't know that there ARE any very definitive movies for me...maybe The Neverending Story. I guess if we were talking about movies that fundamentally get at the things I love most, probably also add The Muppet Movie, Galaxy Quest, The 10th Kingdom (miniseries, technically, but roll with it), Anna and the King...I don't know. I am really terrible at this.
I have been so-so about keeping up with shows. I had a REALLY meh reaction to the Community finale, so much so that my primary feeling about the show being cancelled is that I wish it had another season so that it could end better, but I liked this season much better than either seasons 3 or 4. I was over-the-moon about the Parks and Recreation finale, which resolved the triplets storyline I was nervous about in the best way possible, and I am really happy the show is getting a chance to end on its own terms. I can't recall what else we're watching...oh well Game of Thrones, which. *hands* I don't even know anymore. We're also watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and it's SO GOOD, y'all. You should DEFINITELY give it a shot if you have the mean to watch it. And of course I've been watching Late Night with Seth Meyers, which I also recommend though it's a totally different kettle of fish. Hee.
I DO have another 30 Days of Photos meme entry! I promise I will complete a meme for once in my life.

I've been listening to all the music on my iPod lately (25,000+ songs) and hearing all kinds of stuff I either haven't heard in ages or haven't heard at all. It's been a great reminder of why I love music so much. I should do this more often, instead of getting stuck on the same 50-60 songs in my 'Current Obsessions' playlist.
