One of the main roots of the historical research lies in analyzing and interpreting the digitized medieval manuscripts. To contribute to the field of the digital humanities a SAOT workshop on “Automatic Pattern Recognition and Historical Handwriting Analysis” was held on 14-15 June, 2013 at Erlangen, Germany.
