This guide explains how to create a Donation Checkout Page and generate a Donation Button/Link in SCP.
1. Create a Donation Checkout Page:
Go to: SCP → Checkout → Create New Checkout Page
When you click the Create New Checkout Page button, you will be redirected to the checkout creation page.
Step 2: Configure Checkout Page Settings
On the checkout creation screen:
- Enter the Checkout Page Name
- Enter the Slug
- Select the Checkout Type as Donation
Step 3: Select a Template
After selecting the Donation checkout type, you will see two template options:
1️⃣ Double Column Template
- Left side: Image + Content
- Right side: Checkout Form
2️⃣ Single Column Template
- Top: Image
- Below: Checkout Form
Select your preferred template and click the Save button to create the checkout page.
2. Create a Donation Button / Link
After creating the checkout page:
Go to:
SCP → Donation
Step 1: Create New Donation Link
Click on the “Create a New Donation Link” button.
It will open a side popup panel.
Step 2: Configure Donation Settings
In the popup, enter the following details:
1️⃣ Donation Button Name
Enter a name for internal reference.
2️⃣ Select Product / Course
Select the product or course you want to grant access to after payment.
Note:
Only one-time paid products/courses are supported.
Subscription products or free products will not be displayed.
Step 3: Select Checkout Page
Select the donation checkout page that you created earlier.
3. Donation Type Options
You will see two donation type options:
1️⃣ Flexible Donation
- The user can enter their own donation amount.
- A pricing input field will be displayed on the frontend.
If selected, you must set:
Minimum Donation Amount
This means the user must enter this minimum amount or more.
2️⃣ Fixed Donation
- The user cannot enter a custom amount.
- The amount is predefined by the admin.
If selected, you must set:
Donation Amount
This is the exact amount the user must pay.
4. Redirect After Payment
You have two redirect options:
1️⃣ Select Landing Page
After successful payment, the user will be redirected to the selected page.
2️⃣ Custom Redirect URL
You can enter a custom URL where users will be redirected after payment.
5. Payment Environment
You can choose the payment environment:
🔵 Live Mode (Real Payments)
- Used for real transactions.
- Requires live payment credentials.
🟡 Sandbox Mode (Test Transactions Only)
- Used for testing purposes.
- You can use test card details to verify the payment flow.
6. Save and Use Shortcode
After configuring all settings, click the Save button.
Once saved, the system will generate a Shortcode.
- Use this shortcode if you want to place the donation checkout on a custom page.
- If you use the system-generated page, no shortcode is required.
7. Preview Donation Checkout Page
In the donation listing page, you will see a Preview Icon.
- Clicking the preview icon will open the donation checkout page.
- No shortcode is required for this.
- This uses the system-generated page.
Important Notes
- Only one-time paid products/courses are supported.
- Subscription and free products will not appear in the selection list.
- Use Sandbox Mode to test before enabling Live Mode.
- Shortcode is optional if using the system-generated page.
