DAP to SCP Migration Guide

This guide walks you through how to migrate courses, products, and memberships from DigitalAccessPass (DAP) to Smart Creator Press (SCP).

🎯 Overview

The primary goal of this migration tool is to move course and product content from DAP to SCP without affecting your existing DAP setup.

SCP ensures that your original DAP content remains intact by cloning course pages and importing key details into SCP. Once migration is complete, you can activate the SCP version and start using it with SCP’s full feature set.

Course Migration

✅ SCP Will Migrate:

  • Lessons
  • Modules
  • Pricing Plan
  • Enrolled Users with their progress

❌ SCP Will NOT Migrate:

You will need to manually recreate the following:

  • Checkout Pages or Signup Forms
  • Email Content
  • Autoresponder Settings (SCP does not have this feature yet)
  • Error Page Content

⚠️ Your original DAP courses will remain untouched. SCP clones the content.

⚠️ Supported Course Types for Migration

SCP can only migrate courses that were created using DAP’s built-in builder.

What This Means:

✅ If your DAP course was built using DAP’s built-in builder, it can be migrated automatically.

❌ If your course was built using WordPress pages directly or a page builder (like Elementor or Divi), SCP will not recognize it as a course and cannot migrate it.

If you used a custom setup with WP pages or a page builder, you will need to rebuild the course manually inside SCP.

🔄 After Migration:

  • You can review and customize the course in SCP.
  • Switch from the DAP version to the SCP version when you’re ready to go live.

🛠️ How to Migrate a Course or Product

  1. Go to:
    SCP > Settings > Migration > DAP to SCP tab
  2. Select a Course or Product to Migrate:
    Use the dropdown menu to choose a course or product created using DAP’s built-in course template.
  3. Click “Migrate”:
    SCP will clone and import eligible course content.
  4. Review Migrated Courses:
    View a list of all successfully migrated items below.

💼 Membership & Product Migration

SCP can migrate DAP memberships and products only if both are installed on the same WordPress site.

✅ SCP Will Migrate:

  • Membership/Product Basic Details
  • Pricing Settings
  • Page Protection (SCP will protect the same pages, but:
    • 🟣 Protection will only work if the product is not also active in DAP)
  • Users with:
    • Access Start Date
    • Access End Date

⚠️ Important Notes

  • SCP does not migrate automation, tags, or email sequences. Use SCP’s native automation tools to rebuild these.
  • After successful migration, you can begin managing your course/product directly in SCP.
  • If a DAP product/membership is still active, do not rely on SCP’s page protection alone – deactivate it in DAP first.

Where to Find This Tool

  • Navigate to:
    SCP > Settings > Migration > DAP to SCP
  • Available options:
    • Select courses/products to migrate
    • View list of migrated items
    • Toggle live status
