You can mix and match these benefits and use SCP’s native access rules or automation features to ensure the right people get the right content at the right time.

🔼 Step 1: Create Your Membership Product

All memberships start with a product created using SCP’s Product Builder.

To create a new membership:

  • Go to SCP > Products > Add New Product
  • Set the Product Pricing to ‘Paid’ and Payment Type to Subscription.
  • Enter a name and description for your membership
  • Customize the welcome email
  • Customize messages, and redirect behavior after purchase. You can do this in the settings tab.

💸 Step 2: Set Up Pricing Plans

Membership products support multiple pricing options. Use this to allow monthly, annual, lifetime plans.

Some examples of pricing structures:

  • $29/month (monthly recurring)
  • $290/year (annual recurring)
  • $597 one-time (lifetime access)
  • $0 for 7 days, then $49/month (free trial)
  • 3 payments of $199 (installment plan)

To add a pricing plan:

  • Go to the Pricing tab
  • Click Add Pricing Plan
  • Set name, price, billing frequency, trial period, and plan description

Create separate products if each membership tier has different benefits, automations or content.
Otherwise create one product with multiple pricing plans.

🔐 Step 3: Assign Core Membership Content

Core content (pages, posts, custom post types, files, categories) should be assigned directly to the membership using Access Rules.

To assign access:

  • Go to the Access Rules tab in the product builder.
  • Select the content
  • Setup drip schedule for the content. Drip content gradually to keep members engaged over time. Use this to create structured learning paths, weekly content releases, or limited-time unlocks.

Supported content types:

  • WordPress pages and posts
  • Categories and tags
  • Uploaded files and documents
  • Videos, downloads

🔄 Step 5: Automate Bonus Access Using Outbound Automation

To give access to SCP-created Courses or other Products when someone joins a membership, use Outbound Automation.

To create automation:

  • Go to SCP > Outbound Automation > Add New
  • Set a Trigger: e.g., “User gets access to Gold Membership”
  • Add Actions, such as:
    • Give Product Access (e.g., Bonus Masterclass)
    • Give Course Access (e.g., Gold Members Hub)
    • Add to Email List (e.g., MailerLite, ConvertKit)
    • Add Tag (e.g., FluentCRM, ActiveCampaign)

You can also automate:

  • Revoking access when a user loses access to the membership
  • Unlocking bonus content for limited-time offers
  • Triggering welcome sequences in external platforms

📆 Example Setup: Gold Membership

Product: Gold Membership

  • Includes access to:
    • Dripped content via posts and pages
    • SmartForumBuilder access to private community

Pricing Plans:

  • $49/month
  • $490/year

Access Rules:

  • Drip pages weekly using relative day delay
