I do hope this adaptation of Emily St. John Mandel’s Station Eleven does the book (which is fabulous) the justice it deserves. I may need to re-read it.

• A first look at The Book of Boba Fett. They had me at the B’omarr Monk in the opening scene which I suppose tells you how much of a nerd I am.
• Goosebumps really is a good indicator of being onto something — in idea, a musical part, a design approach, etc. More of that please.
• 1000% times yes to Charles Blow’s comments about “reorienting primarily to the real world,” something I’ve been being working on myself for several years. The most important things happen there, not in some virtual fantasy land.
• What will the world look like when you can be whoever you want in the metaverse? A good read from The Washington Post on the potential good, and all new kinds of bad the met averse might bring.
• “The longer I work in this field, the longer I realize the most crucial part of the job is being kind—to employees, collaborators, and clients. Sure, you need talent, but being nice will help you go far.” Glad I’m not alone in thinking this, Travis.
• Rustique, this month’s Font of the Month release from DJR is rad with its tight caps-only settings that give off a brush-written kanji vibe that feels to unique and fresh.
• Dave Bailey’s new Delta Bravo Type foundry launched just a few days ago. DB Clariday Serif, Sans, and Slab are all top notch. The bulleted numerals in Clariday Serif are scrumptious.
• Dinamo’s new Gravity type family has some interesting ideas baked into it such as raised baselines and optional short descenders.
• I dig this Golden Rectangle Fibonacci print from Dry Inc (formerly P22 Analog).
• Kirby 3.6, the massive next release of the CMS that runs this site is almost ready for primetime. The fourth release candidate dropped a couple days ago and I’m nearly done my own compatibility testing.
• The Future of You by Tracey Follows sounds like the dystopian book I need right now, though I’m not sure that’s what was intended…
• Brikfont, my kinda type project.
