Opportunities in Science
and Technology Policy
Welcome to the S&T Policy Academy Opportunities page. Here you can find the Academy’s LinkedIn S&T Policy Jobs Newsletter (updated weekly), S&T Policy Internship and Fellowship Programs, and Volunteer Engagement Opportunities.
Job Opportunities
This newsletter collects the many science and technology policy job listings I receive via LinkedIn.
Many scientists, engineers, and health professionals I work with do not fully understand the vast array of opportunities available to them.
I believe you’ll find this newsletter useful whether you’re looking for a job or fellowship or just want a good understanding of the kind of jobs available to assess your interest in them.
You may also wish to subscribe to my LinkedIn Inform & Influence newsletter. You’ll learn about current issues in S&T policy and how to engage in them. The newsletter provides timely opportunities to contribute to society, build your policy portfolio, and discover if S&T policy is right for you. The S&T Policy Academy newsletter will provide you with updates on Academy activities, including free Academy events and general advice not in the other newsletters.
Sound interesting? If so, please subscribe to receive future editions.

Volunteer Opportunities
The best way to gain your first experience in S&T policy is to volunteer with an organization. This can be at your college or university or by contacting the policy team at the organization where you currently work.
Another great place to volunteer is policy organizations that focus on the issues you care about in your community or at the state and national level.
In my case, I volunteered with the League of Women Voters, first locally and then at the state level. I learned consensus techniques that have served me throughout my career.
Volunteer opportunities give you a chance to see if S&T policy is of interest to you and where you can build your portfolio.
There are thousands of opportunities and organizations. Here is just a sampling to inspire you to think about your interests and where you can contribute. I provide more up-to-date engagement opportunities each week at the end of the Inform & Influence newsletter.
