Vance Yaremko

Vance Yaremko is the Executive Director of SARDA Ag Research in Donnelly, Alberta, and a respected leader in Western Canada’s agricultural research community. He began his journey with SARDA in 1996 as a technician, bringing a strong technical foundation, including a one-year electronics program at NAIT, to the role.

In 2006, Vance was appointed Executive Director of SARDA, where he has been instrumental in expanding the organization’s impact through applied research, field trials, and producer outreach. Between 2009 and 2013, he stepped away from SARDA to work with Echelon Ag, where he specialized in variable rate technology and helping farmers adopt precision agriculture techniques that improve efficiency and sustainability.

Vance returned to SARDA in 2013 with a broadened perspective and renewed vision for integrating technology into agriculture. His leadership was key in the development and opening of SARDA’s new $2 million facility in 2023, enhancing research capacity and community engagement.

In 2020, he was selected to serve as an interim board member for Results Driven Agriculture Research (RDAR), where he contributed to shaping research priorities that support Alberta’s producers.
