Trevor Noah
Attention Comedy Fans
As you probably know, Jon Stewart s retiring, he says by the end of the year if not sooner.
He has already picked his replacement and it is worth your while to check him out.
His name is Trevor Noah, he's a black SouthAfrican, 31 years old and very, very handsome.
He has two performances on Netflix, one a stand up routine,the other more about him
and his background and development.
I can't say enough goodthings about him. He is a great talent ,really great, remarkable.
He grew poor as we see in on Netflix,  but he seems very worldlyand his material
is marvelous, just perfectt
I'm eager tohear what you folks  think.  I don't  doubt that Jon Stewart andComedy Central
think he's great , I want to know what my friends here think.
Oh, he had one of his pieces on Showtime tonight, so if you don't have Netflix...

My Vote in 2016
As painful as it for me to admit, I am seriously considering not voting in the Presidential election next year.
Hillary has outHillaryed herself and I jjust don't wantr to play with her.
Her e-mail press conerence was the last straw.  Her arrogance actually stunned me.
I am counting on reading all thse e-mails once they're published in a book or maybe theyll
be made into a play. Who would play Hillary I wonder. Maybe Randy?

comedy
I think the best comics working  today are Chris Rock and Larry Gilmore of the Nightly Show on every day
during the week on Comedy  Central  at 11:30pm, after the Daily Show.
Both of these men are black( although its hard to tell with Gilmore) about the same age, Chris Rock is 49
and Larry 53. Both men are going through a "painful" divorce. And each has been married for 20 years.
So what does this say about  contemporary comedy or anythng else?

Blood Brothers
Without trying or knowing any better, I have become hopelessly addicted to this TV program.
It has been running for a very long time so I will be  watching  back episodes for   forever.

Who can help me?  I need  time to shop for groceries and pick up some stuff at the dry cleaners.
Anybody know a Blood Brothers support group?  I can't be the only one.in this situation.
Or maybe you know a program that will help me get away from this one.  Only not with
cops. I've had enough of  them to last a good long while.

The Kardashians
What would  it take to make these people go away? How much would it cost? Who has the time?
Because  that would  probably be the main thing --time..There's so much to undo.
And there's more and more of them every time you turn aound: lovers, husbands, children,
friends. Now that   they've become international  who knows where that will lead.
I swear I saw Chloe Kadashian sitting next to Harry Reid applauding Netanyahu the other day..
Help me,please..

It's Me!!

Hello my darlings! It's me, back after all these months!  I've had a bad back but, it's all better now
and I'm ready to roll..
I thnk there were some issues that I thought urgent but they're lost somewhere. Anyway, I'm ready
to take on new ones, Taylor Swift (ugh, big ugh) Chris Christie ( bigger ugh!) and, God forgive me,
the KardashIians. For now, I suggest you all read about The Good Wife in the current New
Yorker. Who would have thought Alicia Florreck was that complicated! I do think the Kardashians
call for serious disconsion but perhaps at another time.

So, Ken, Liz, Lyn, whaty's on your mind? Who are you all voting for this coming Tuesday?

delicious baby a the end of his subway line.

Dave Chappelle
Dave Chapelle's  in town ( New York ) and the world's a better place..Lordy Lord. Thank you Jesus..
What a hoot is this man and I haven't eve seen his show at the Music Hall where tickets  cost
 up to $500. Who buys tickets priced that high besides corporations looking to
seduce clients.
 I've been able to live with the Kardashians knowing Dave's here watching my
left flank.
He did make two TV appearances, Dave Letterman and Jimmy Fallon. Fallon
outdid himself knowingt he was in the presence of
comic genius.Letterman, on the other hand,just wanted to know where
Chappelle went when  he left his show seven years.ago Chapplle said he went out for  a smoke.
I'm glad to report the man looks fit and willing to share his comic genius with us..
You can look to a lot more from me on this incredible man.  Mr. Obama, take note!

I am trying hard to remember how or why I am sarahj2222 here. Nothing about the name (or title )  means anything
to me.  a it got any meaning for anybody out there?
Thinking about redoing it gives me a big headache.  Maybe I should start anew?   What do you think? However not
before I finish (or start ) my thoughts on late night TV

In another vein we were truly blessed by CBS and their presentation of the Tonys.. It   was magical.

I've been watching my QAF discs and I realize how much I miss those guys, not everybody,
but most of them. Maybe it's because I've dumbed out on the Kardashians or maybe it's because I love
the gang at the diner. Whatever, I can see how nuts I went over almost all of them and how
much miss them. ( I can't believe I just said that. It's what the Kardashians are doing to me.)

So what is everybody watching? I spend a huge amount time on the news so I'm
watching MSNBC starting 7PM until 11PM, then Charlie Rose and then I channel surf with the
late night comics. (More on them another time).
Given all this activity Brian and Justin look good to me.. I know the episodes almost by
heart and I love them, so I move on to a peaceful sleep ( with the help of an Ambien ).
I'm interested to know what you folks watch and are Brian and Justin still somewhere is your
conconciousness? Then let's move on to what you're reading and on what device or do you
do it the old fashioned way, in newspapers or magazines or books?
Next week, a serious discussion on standup comics which I've been wanting to do since
I met you.
If you can't tell by now, after all these years I want to know you better..
